For as long as I can remember, I’ve taken a liking to the unusual. The surreal. The unimaginable things of the world.
With urban exploration, there’s a certain fascination with exploring the places that once were, and that are no longer. Places where you can feel the buzz of activity lingering, though it has long since passed. Places were you can physically see the effects of time, but feel the effect of neglect deep down in your core.
Throughout the years, there’s been one source to which I’ve looked for answers, and often inspiration. AbandonedNYC (Will Ellis). It’s amazing how many times I’ve discovered a location, only to find out Will did it four months earlier. And then of course, I’d spend far too much time browsing through his site, finding even more locations to add to my list.
What’s the point? The point is that this trailblazer has created a book containing his photography from his years of urbex. Trust me, it will be amazing.
